Key Performance Objectives



Operational Delivery


Build business requirements, executes projects and derives business insights

Locate and define new process improvements

Complete projects/tasks assigned or working with other staff (internal /external) and following up on assigned projects/task

Engage with customers to unpack requirements and design with for future requirements based on future needs

Create Information and Insights Packs inclusive of PowerPoint, Dashboards or Reporting, or any fit-for-purpose information management tools.

Data to Analytic Insights


Create Business Requirements documents for Solutions up to Data Modelling and Data Mapping stages including Presentation Specifications (excluding Technical Specifications)

Conducting Data Mining – Create compelling actionable insight that significantly improves knowledge of customer behaviour, and opens new commercially viable opportunities for Churn, Revenue and Margin improvement

Turn data into actionable insights providing a better understanding of the gaps within the business. Manage the post-activity reports and in-depth performance evaluation to determine how existing decisioning rules can be enhanced to drive increased business benefits

Interpret data, analyse results using statistical tools and provide ongoing reports

Develop and implement data collection and data analytics processes

Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems

Identify, analyse and interpret trends in complex data sets – Understand analytical information needs: Proactively lead and identify areas of customer behaviour, and commercial base performance (inflow, base, recommitment, outflow) that require understanding.

Work closely with project managers to ensure that progress is in line with business units Roadmap, any risks or issues are actioned upon timely, provide subject matter expertise where required

Adherence to Policies and Procedures


Ensure adherence to departmental and company policies and rules

Ensure compliance to all South African IT legislation and governance

Ensure continuous improvement of standard operating procedures.

Contribute to the development and management of Service Level Agreements

Provide continuous insights in the development of new policies and procedures to deal with present-day and future challenges.



6-10 years of experience gathering requirements and analysing data within the Customer Value Management (CVM) field

Excellent visualization skills and storytelling capability

SQL experience inclusive of SSAS, SSRS and SSIS will be an advantage

Experience drawing insights from BI / analytics models

Experience within the Customer Value Management field will be an advantage

Knowledge of business line processes, data, and associated applications

Experience analysing and breaking down problems and information using structured frameworks and methodologies

Robust skills in documentation creation with a high attention to detail including planning and organization

Ability to think analytically and conduct customer-facing communications

Azure data services and Power BI will be an advantage
