Architecture Analysis

 

Engage with architecture team members to understand the analysis requirements and priorities

Establish and maintain the architecture analysis backlog

Conduct market research on key topics and market trends

Engage with Multichoice business and technical stakeholders to understand concerns and assist with root cause analysis of known issues

Provide insights and recommendations to the architecture community

Select appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures they are applied effectively.

Review and quality assure functional and non-functional requirements received as input into architecture designs

Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options and assesses and manage associated risks.

 

 

Architecture Design

 

Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment

Ensure that architecture repositories are up to date and accurately reflect the current and planned architecture

Support the architecture community in modelling architecture designs according to the standards and processes in place

Design and create related architecture standards and artifacts within the architecture team.

Contribute to policy for selection of architecture components

Support the execution of the Agile Delivery Model and contribute to the continuous improvement thereof

 

Portfolio Lifecycle Management

 

Establish and maintain portfolio management lifecycles supported by standardized processes and adopted governance

Establish and maintain portfolio management repositories and integrations between repositories

Engage and support governance forums to share the portfolio strategies and ensure alignment across the group

Proactively manage the ongoing review of the portfolios to determine opportunities for rationalisation

Support budget planning cycles with input from portfolio repository datasets

Support procurement requests

Processes & Procedures

 

Establish and activate portfolio management processes, policies and standards

Ensure adherence to process, policies, and standards

 

 

Experience

 

Proven experience in enterprise and solution design and modelling

Proven experience the management of IT related portfolios and related data sets

Strong analytical and root cause analysis experience

Strong understanding of technology layering and data objects relevant to describing architectures

Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices

Solid grounding in core enterprise applications

Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices

Proven project planning and management experience

Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Degree Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Minimum of 8 – 10 years’ experience in the IT industry focusing on Architecture with 3 years in modelling and management of architecture repositories and related data

Preferred Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous and Enterprise Architecture Certification (TOGAF 9, Zachman, ArchiMate
