Job Purpose The Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape Government has opportunity for three (3) competent individuals to provide an effective and efficient payment system in respect of purchases, payables, transfers and donations. These posts are based in Cape Town, CBD.
Minimum Requirements Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification) with Accounting and/or mathematics as passed subjects.
Recommendation Relevant financial experience; Proven computer literacy.
Key Performance Areas Data capturing; Assist clients with enquiries/queries; Maintain a payment process; Administration of the sytem to detect and prevent payments older than 30 days; Maintain registers inclusive of asset registers; Reconciliations of various reports; Provide training.
Competencies A good understanding of the following: Relevant systems; Public Finance Management Act; Treasury Instructions; Skills needed: Proven computer literacy; Written and verbal communication; Problem solving; Interpersonal; Work under pressure.
Remuneration R 181 599 per annum (Salary Level 5)
